Not an exhaustive list:
Dry mouth, bad breath, bad smell from between the teeth (when using floss), gum recession or receding gums, "black triangles" or gaps between teeth, bone loss around the roots of the teeth, bleeding gums, gum swelling or inflammation (gingivitis), gum pocketing, gum or lip ulcers, unsmooth teeth, tooth sensitivity, exposed dentin, tooth pain or toothache, tooth discoloration, tooth plaque or tartar, being prone to getting tooth cavities, tonsiloliths (a.k.a. detritus plugs or "tonsil stones"), being prone to getting tonsillitis
Dental procedures don't address the underlying problems causing issues in your mouth, whereas the Complete Mouth Care System does. Compared to dental costs, the Complete Mouth Care System is also less expensive in the long run. The system is painless (unlike some dental procedures) and creates a peace of mind rather than promoting anxiety. I think that benefits are definitely worth a 3 month trial. I'm glad I tried it.
It depends on what improvement you're hoping to have. Teeth often feel smoother and breath odor improved in as little as 2 weeks. Bleeding gums and gingivitis resolve relatively quickly as well, often in less than 4 weeks. Tooth sensitivity diminishes in about 4-6 weeks. Gum recession can start visibly improving after 3 months. Cavities (depending on their size) can seal over in as little as 6 months, and take an additional 6-24 months to fill back in.
For now, the easiest explanation is found byDr. Ellie's Complete Mouth Care System 5-step video. The majority of the details are found here, but be sure to subscribe to my soon-coming YouTube channel: Teeth for Eternity where I will highlight the other details you should be aware of.
It's not recommended that children under the age of 6 use this system. Until a child can reliably use mouthwash without swallowing it, they are not ready yet. The best recommendation is to start them on the regular use of xylitol until they can properly use the system.
- Heat the oven to 110°C to 120°C (230°F to 250°F).
- Utilize a silicone ice cube or candy tray and place on a metal oven sheet/tray.
- Pour 1-2g xylitol into each well.
- Thicker mints are harder to break, but last longer in the mouth.
- Place the tray into the oven until the xylitol is fully melted (45-75 min, varies by tray style and amount of xylitol).
- Remove the tray from the oven.
- For softer mints, immediately spray cool water on top after removal. Wait 5 min.
- For harder mints, allow to cool on the metal oven tray 20 minutes.
- Add a crystal of xylitol to any well that does not already have crystals forming.
- Do not disturb it at room temperature for 24 hours, as doing so results in softer mints.
- Remove the hardened mints from the tray.
